Why are they eco-friendly?
The environmental performance of clay targets is measured by their PAH* content. From April 22, 2026, EU regulations will require clay targets to contain less than 50 mg PAH per kg. Nordic Clays Bio-Clays contain less than 0.2 mg PAH per kg, meaning they already comply with upcoming environmental requirements.
*PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) may negatively impact soil, groundwater, and wildlife.
Additionally:
- Weigh only approximately 23% of traditional 110 g clay targets
- Up to 4.3 times lower CO₂ emissions during transport
- Up to 14,400 targets per EU pallet (vs 8,250 traditional targets)
How should they be stored?
Store below 20°C in a dry, non-humid location.
Do not store in direct sunlight or in a vehicle on a warm day (+20°C), as temperatures inside a vehicle can quickly rise significantly above the outside temperature.
Can they be used with traditional clay throwers?
No. Bio-Clays only work with the TrapMaster launcher.
